7 Levels in 3 Days. Booyah!

Well that was fast levelling for me. Usually getting those 7 levels would have taken me nearly as many weeks. This is because I tend to spend more time ingame looking through the Auction House, or getting achievements rather than grinding out XP to gain levels.

So on Sunday night of last weekend my first Death Knight, Sár, was born!

That was from level 48 to level 55 on my Mage to enable the unlocking of the Death Knight class, inside of 3 days, Friday to Sunday.

As you can probably tell, I’m really rather quite chuffed and impressed that I was able to get that much XP under the belt in what amounted to 5 sessions all told. That said when I was able to get a nice bunched up quest area where there were about 7/8 quests all given in one small area, and all had to be completed in the same zone, then that’s when the levels flew by. Level 49 was spent in the Hinterlands doing Revantusk Village quests, and that took me all of 94 minutes to get from the arse end of 48 up to hitting level 50. Searing Gorge was another one that took me from 53 to 54, but the rest of it was disparate quests spread out over large areas.

So anyway, the Death Knight is a great class. A good mix of mostly melée, with some magic thrown in for good measure. And boy, is it gooood to get back to a melée class again. I played pure melée in City of Heroes with my Regen Scrapper, Sar and my Electric Brute, Eat Electric Death. It’s just the visceral nature of melée that gets my blood pumping. I enjoy, no, REALLY enjoy playing my mage too, but melée is and was my first love. Very few snares or traps, just going toe to toe with enemies and loving it.

The polar opposite of my mage, which is all about snaring and slowing enemies, then kiting them while trying to pile on the hurt, whilst avoiding getting hurt yourself. So I intend to bring my mage up to level 60 this weekend, so I can at least start doing some of the lower level raids with her. I would have had the infamous Onyxia to sink my teeth into, but with the latest patch she was re-made into a level 80 encounter. So close, yet so far.

Never mind. You’ll keep, dragon bitch, you’ll keep…
